Cabin+Cottage=The Cattage Our old-fashioned cabin is the perfect place to reconnect and recharge with family and friends. Relax and unwind with the whole family or the two of you. Our comfy beds and rustic hot tub will give you the recharge you need. Just bring your slippers! Hot tub, trails, bird watching, fire pit, VHS’, books, board games, yard games, indoor wood burning stove. We have a portable air conditioner that works great. Dogs only. We can accommodate up to 10-12 guests with our 2 pull out couches at extra charge, but it’s going to be cozy. Please see room descriptions and photos for details. Extra dark outside in the evening for star gazing. Lots of deer, moose, birds, owls and other animals visit us often. We are only a hop, skip and a jump outside of the city. 20 min Sherwood Park, 40 min downtown Edmonton. The entire 17 acre property to yourself! Our serene spot deep in the woods provides endless nature to explore. We have a long and narrow winding road/driveway. Also, depending on the weather there can be large puddles on the driveway. We live 30 minutes away but we are available for you anytime. There are groceries close by! If you need to do full groceries it’s best to go to Sherwood park Walmart 25 mins away. If you just need a few things: Country Mercantile store/liquor store (very small selection) 6 mins away, Country Boyz (larger selection) 11 mins away. Note that it’s best to call ahead for restaurants and stores to make sure they are open. Dog must be fully house trained or stay outside. Coyotes in the area. Our hot tub is an antique but is fairly straight forward to operate, instructions provided. Our property has lake access. The lake is beautiful to look at, but not swimmable. Half Moon beach resort for swimming and kayaking is a 6 min drive. We have everything you need including firewood, fire pit, fire sticks, and chairs! We have a propane BBQ with propane. Cellphone coverage is very limited and cuts in and out. Wifi works great (we leave it up to you if you want to tell the kids). TV has spotty peasant vision and VCR for provided movies (popcorn and air popper is in the cabinet top shelf). There are two outdoor cameras, one at the front entrance of the cabin and one at the side entrance.
